Stratlign: a team of rebels with a cause.
We’re here to put those tools in your hands, making it possible for you to enjoy bigger profits, smoother operations, and stress-free finances — without having to spend more time working.
Our strategic accounting, planning, and advisory services are designed with you in mind, and we’ll save you time, money, and energy, so you can get out of the books and back into the business.
It’s like eating your cake and losing weight, too (that’s our next project).
Think of us as your external accounting department, business coach, and personal cheerleader. We believe that your success is our success, and we always play to win.
We know you have a choice in your accounting firm, and we love that you’re exercising your right to choose (it’s our favorite form of exercise). If you’re thinking about working with us, we want you to know exactly what you’re going to get.
We are respectful, driven, adaptable, and straightforward team players. Our values guide everything we do, and we instill them into every project, decision, and strategic move we make.

Erin is a THIRD generation accountant! Serving as our CVO, Erin fearlessly pushes Stratlign to act as innovators and leaders in the accounting industry. She continuously works on elevating our services and sustaining a rocking company culture. Her mission is to provide clients with the best experience and value and to provide an enviable work environment for her team. Erin is an avid Cross-Fitter, a health food nut, and regrets not moving to Florida sooner – she’s a big fan of warm weather and beach trips with her kids and husband, Jake, our CEO.
Her drive to help business owners doesn’t stop with her clients – Erin is determined to improve the lives and businesses of accounting firm owners everywhere by creating courses for firm owners and hosting a podcast.
Serving as our CEO, Jake’s goal is to flip the accounting industry on its head and change the way accountants, tax preparers and clients view and utilize the accounting space. He works directly with clients providing tax planning, general business consulting and advising, tax planning & preparation. Jake works continuously on our company vision, service lines, and company culture. He enjoys traveling, home renovation projects, and attending his kids’ sporting events or going to the beach.
Jake and Erin have made it their mission to change the accounting firm industry as a whole and are creating educational courses and host a podcast – they help other firm owners offer better services, use top of the line technology and programs and give their clients an unbeatable experience.
Erica came to our firm in 2011 starting out as an administrator. She quickly found her strength in bookkeeping, took off running, and is now our Director of Accounting. Her attention to detail and skills have even been dubbed as the “ninja” by one of our clients. Her mission every day is to put the client first and make sure that they are set up for success.
In her spare time when she isn’t being an accounting ninja, she is being a mommy ninja. She enjoys being active and spending time with her kids.
Amber has been with Stratlign for more than 10 years and has performed every role in the business. She leads every member of the team and oversees the day-to-day operations of the business. Amber works directly with Erin, Jake and Erica to improve staff and client experience. It’s no surprise leadership is her strong suite – she’s been a competitive cheerleading coach since she left high school! Amber has big dreams – eyeing the 40 under 40 awards…and with her hunger for learning and competitive nature, we have no doubt she’ll get there soon.
As an onboarding specialist, Miranda transitions each new client into a live Stratlign client. As a bookkeeper, she is responsible for bookkeeping work & processing payrolls for her clients’ businesses.
When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her kids and game nights with family & friends.
Fun fact – Miranda is an elected official for her town, currently serving on the board of library trustees.
Miranda hopes to lead a full team of onboarding specialists for Stratlign in the future (how lucky would we be?!)
Melanie (Mel) is the axle that keeps our train on track. She works with clients and staff to support them in any capacity that is needed and keeps everything running smoothly. She has a front seat to all of the day-to-day operations of the business and client services, and she uses this as an opportunity to learn about business and work on her skills. She hinted that she may be interested in becoming an accountant one day (which we totally support).
On a personal note, Mel likes trying new recipes in the kitchen and shopping for the latest trends and styles.
As staff accountant Jo’s responsibilities include processing client payroll, bookkeeping work for clients, and reviewing other bookkeepers’ work. She also prepares tax returns and meets with our business advising clients to help grow their businesses. Her hobbies include reading books, dancing to all genres of music, and doing small arts and crafts with her children.
In the future, Jo hopes to open her own accounting firm, and we know that with her drive and willingness to learn – this dream will be a reality sooner than later!
Kate is a writer at heart who found a way to use her words through marketing for Stratlign. She is responsible for our presence on social media, and general content creation and messaging for Stratlign. Her parents owned an accounting firm but she is, decidedly, NOT an accountant.
Kate likes to think she is a world class Cross Fitter, but in reality, she’s a beginner who’s just in love with the sport. She spends her time either at the gym, the beach, or on the boat with her children.
She hopes to grow her marketing skills and create business courses for contractors and accountants and write several books (one day).
